C.I.E.

On the occasion of its meeting on September 3-4 2008 the FCI General Committee made the following decision:

For breeds subject to a working trial according to the FCI Breeds Nomenclature, a new international title is available  as from January 1st 2009.

To be eligible for the title of International Show Champion (C.I.E) , the dogs must have fulfilled the following conditions:

 

a)      have earned in three different countries, under three different judges, 4 (four) Certificats d'Aptitude au Championnat International de Beauté (CACIB) no matter the number of dogs;

 

b)       between the first and last CACIB, a minimum period of one year and one day must have elapsed.  This period is to be understood as follows : for example, from January 1st, 2009 to January 1st, 2010.

 

Please note that all applications for this title must be sent to the FCI Office in writing either through the national canine organisation or directly by the dog’s owner according to the existing agreements between the FCI and a couple of members.

The FCI Regulations for the International Championship will be amended accordingly and sent later.

For the  Fox Terrier Smooth (12) and Wire (169), the Airedale Terrier (7) (see our circular 33/1998 dated 25.02.1998), the Parson Russel Terrier (339) and the Jack Russel Terrier (345) (see our circular 66/2004 dated 22/11/2004) the following applies:

1)      the title of International Beauty Champion (C.I.B) can be obtained with 2 or 4 CACIB according to national decision;

2)    the  title of International Show Champion (C.I.E) can always be obtained with 4 CACIB.
